Midweek Mumbles #7 – Events coming in April/May 2015

Guest Post April 25th – Katie Renn on “Independent Bookstore Day”

This Friday, I’m proud to announce that I’ll be hosting a guest blog from Katie Renn, of Fireside Books in Palmer, Alaska. Katie has written a great piece about the importance of independent local bookstores to readers and the communities. I’ve made some minor changes to her original text which advertises the events happening at the store on Independent Bookstore Day (May 2nd), but only to add in relevant links where appropriate.

I’d like to thank Katie for taking the time to write the original text, and giving me permission to re-post it here.

May 2nd – Independent Bookstore Day

I’ll be at Fireside Books from 1pm to 2pm, as part of a panel of local authors providing advice about relationships. I’m honored to have been asked to become part of this event, and am looking forward to meeting potential readers and other local writers.

If you are in the Palmer area, or want to know more about the event, click here for the event’s page on Facebook.

Into May – “Across the Kármán Line”

Around the middle of May (date to be confirmed), Laurel Highlands Publishing will be releasing “Across the Kármán Line”, containing my first sci-fi short story into print, “Evaline Transcendent“.

Then on 30th of May, I’ll be at Fireside Books from 11:30am to 1:30pm signing copies of “Across the Kármán Line”. I’m also hoping to have some copies of “Moon Shadows” on hand for the event.
